Our mission is to assist Pediatric Oncology doctors and researchers find a cure for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). During our journey with Miranda we learned the pharmaceutical companies do not extend their research for pediatric cancers, only for adult cancers. We also learned, it is up to the pediatric oncologists and their research labs to find cures or better medications. Miranda was one of the first children to be treated with a new adult medication for Philadelphia Chromosome.
Part of our mission is to make a difference for children and their families. It is a difficult journey and since Miranda’s passing the protocol for treatment and dosing has gotten better but there is still much work to be done.
Today many children are in remission or “Leukemia free” but have to live with many permanent side effects due to the treatments they have to endure on the road to recovery. Our goal is to secure the necessary research designed specifically for Pediatric Oncology.
Please join us in making a difference!
